Bedrooms 

  • There are 3 bedrooms, a single and two king-size doubles. 

  • Beds are Hypnos and the bedding is Tielle Love Luxury (bedding found in 5* hotels)

  • Dressing gowns (please use but do not take home) and slippers. 

  • Wardrobes, drawer, and hangers. 

  • We do have feather free bedding available.

Welcome amenities

When you arrive, you will find in the kitchen, tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee pods for the coffee machine and a pint of milk in the fridge.   

In the living area there are firelighters, kindling and firewood for the wood burner.  There is a large basket of firewood in the coach house but if you require anymore there is a wood store opposite the stone stairs near the bin.  Cushions for the outside furniture is also in the wood store. Please feel free to help yourself. 

We supply Noble Isle shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand wash, dressing gowns for you to use and slippers.  

There are also board games, books and an ordnance survey map and information on local walks for you to use.

The main gates

From South: 

A38, then A50, A515 to Ashbourne, stay on A515 towards Buxton.  When you get to Newhaven turn right onto A5012, then first left then first right Rake Lane.  This takes you down into the Village Middleton by Youlgrave . We are on your right just before you get to the village square. 

From North:  

M1 Junction 29, follow signs to Bakewell, go through Bakewell, turn right after Haddon Hall to Youlgrave, through Youlgrave, take first left for Middleton by Youlgrave go into the Village square turn right, and the drive is on the left.  

Parking

When you arrive, you can park in front of the stables and down the end/side of the stables, please try to keep the garage doors clear.  You can park next to the outside steps to unload and to reload but then please move and park up.  Parking holds two cars easily, but if more is required, please contact me.

You can bring your bikes and there is a lock up storage space.

Getting Around

It is a drive to other villagers the nearest is a good 25min walk or 7 min drive, there is a bus that comes to Middleton by Youlgrave each day and goes to Bakewell, but you will need to check the bus timetable as it can change. 

Youlgrave or it can be spelt Youlgreave (7min drive, 2.8 miles) 

Youlgrave has three pubs, The Bull, the Farmyard, and the George. A village shop and a post office.  Also, Peak Feast shop/cafe which only sell vegetarian and vegan food and a Bakery Fountain View Bakery. 

Bakewell (13 min drive, 5.4 Miles) 

Bakewell is a Village famous for its Bakewell Puddings and Tarts and there are several shops that sell them, there is one original Bakewell pudding shop.  There is a Coop and an Aldi supermarket. Butchers, pastry, coffee shops and a Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shops. 

Ashbourne (26 min drive, 12.4 Miles) 

Ashbourne has more shops than Bakewell.  It has Butcher, Fish shop, clothes, coffee, jewellers and a Halford, Homebase and a Majestic. Supermarkets, M&S, Sainsburys, and an Aldi. It also has a small independent Cinema.
